Two of those are common objects and one is a nigh universally known animal, all of which with firm mental models, and the last is a common concept in everyday life. Now, you may be a biologist/related, and therefore those three are in your vocabulary, but that means you missed making a more relevant and reasonably point about using words you personally know, but are not commonly known. The fourth is Latin, invalidating your statement, and no, scientific names for ferns aren't part of any expected vocabulary outside of biology fields. The third looks like Polish, and is presumably the one you mean. I know what the second is, but only because the roots are obvious, not because I've had any reason to encounter such an unnecessary blend word.
